A New Name, The Same Mission

Sometimes, change chooses us—literally! As many of you know, we set out to register our NGO as Cups of Change in Nigeria. But with “change” being a hot word in politics right now, we had to find a new name that still captured our heart and mission.

Today, I’m proud to announce that our new official name is:

Jessica Marcus Women Health Empowerment Initiative

It’s a mouthful, but it means the world. Our mission remains exactly the same: to empower girls and women through education, access to menstrual products, and breaking the silence around periods. The new name reflects the personal drive and passion behind this work—and it’s now recognized and approved!

Thank you for your patience, your support, and your belief in this journey. No matter what we’re called, the goal is unchanged: dignity, health, and opportunity for every woman and girl.
