Two Months to Change: The Countdown Begins

Two months from now, I’ll be back on the red soil of Nigeria—heart pounding, bags full of hope, and a mission bigger than ever.

Cups of Change started as a simple dream: that no girl or woman should ever have to choose between her health and her future because of her period.

Since then, we’ve grown into a community that talks openly about period poverty, distributes menstrual cups and underwear, and stands up for dignity, together.

Why am I going back for three months now? Because this work can’t be done from a distance.

I’ll meet girls who’ve never seen a menstrual cup. I’ll talk with mothers who want a better answer for their daughters.

I’ll partner with local leaders to run workshops, collect stories, and break taboos in three languages.

And for the first time, thanks to so many generous supporters and our new official bank account, we’ll reach more schools and communities than ever.

The countdown has started. Want to see what happens on the ground?

I’ll be sharing stories from workshops, field visits, and real moments—messy, powerful, and honest.

You’re invited to follow along, ask questions, and spread the word.

Curious about how you can help? Read, share, and join the conversation. Together, we’re breaking the cycle—one cup, one story, one life at a time.

Follow the journey here and on Instagram (@theswedishnaijawife), and check out the project at www.cupsofchange.org

With hope,

Jess
